Nadia Bedj is a New York-based film and commercial director and photographer. Her narrative work explores themes of coming-of-age self-discovery in oppressive societies, identity and belonging, and the struggles of mental health in a digital age marked by misunderstanding and self-doubt.
Her feature docudrama, Beware of Dog, premiered at Slamdance 2020 and is distributed worldwide by Freestyle Digital Media. Her short films have won awards at Vancouver International Film Festival, Oaxaca Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, and NewFilmmakers LA, among others.
Her commercial and editorial clients include Dazed, i-D, Vice, Condé Nast, VOGUE, Allure, Paper Magazine, MAC Cosmetics, Flaunt Magazine, Chanel, Kenzo, Calvin Klein, Tory Burch, The Webster, Thom Browne, Adidas, CNN's Great Big Story, and others.
