Nadia Bedj is a New York-based director and photographer. After studying journalism and photography in Moscow, Nadia moved to New York City to pursue film directing and cinematography.
The themes she raises in her narrative work include coming-of-age self-exploration in an oppressive society, search for identity and belonging, dealing with anxiety and mental health issues while surrounded by misunderstanding and lack of self-worth in the digital generation. Her feature docudrama "Beware of Dog" premiered at Slamdance 2020 and is distributed worldwide by Freestyle Digital Media.
Her commercial and editorial clients include Dazed, i-D, Vice, Condé Nast, VOGUE, Allure, Paper Magazine, MAC Cosmetics, Flaunt Magazine, Chanel, Kenzo, The Webster, Thom Browne, Adidas, Rent The Runway, White+Warren, CNN's Great Big Story, and others.
